The weather in Bhutan varies from place to place depending on altitude. In general, the weather is warm during the day and at night in the summer. Spring and autumn are very pleasant with warm days and cool nights. Winter is usually cold in Bhutan with chilling mornings and evenings.

The temperature may drop below zero. You may receive the warmth of the sun during the day in winter. Due to the vivid geographical conditions, the kingdom of Bhutan experiences a subtropical climate. The Inner Himalayas regions that range up to 2,250m (7,400 ft) experience cold winters and warm summers. The greater Himalayas, which range from 2,250 m to 4,500 m (7,556 ft), are considered cool zones where pasturelands are suitable for summer grazing. Any regions above 4,500 m have a permanent snow line for all year long.
